Moving a boat from Türkiye to Croatia or the UAE — what factors set the price?

Distance and route

The biggest cost driver in international transport is not the overland distance — it's border crossings, port fees, and escort requirements. The Türkiye → Croatia corridor is around 2,500 km with three customs operations.

Vessel size and special permits

Any boat over 5m wide is 'special cargo' in each country. That means night-only transit, escort vehicles, and usually police accompaniment.

Insurance

International CMR + marine hull insurance combined. Typically 0.3–0.7% of declared value, depending on vessel age, route risk, and insurer.
